The Resemblage Project maintains a growing digital story archive that documents aging as community histories, lived experiences, and creative expression across time and place. While all digital stories can be viewed together through the Our Stories archive, the collection is also organized into chronological groupings that reflect distinct phases of the project’s development and community partnerships.
As of January 2026, The Resemblage Project encompasses three major eras of aging-related digital storytelling research and creation:
The inaugural phase of the project, featuring early digital stories on aging created through the Inter/Generate program and exhibit. Read the 2019 curatorial statement here.
A collection of digital stories on aging developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, capturing experiences of isolation, resilience, caregiving, and community connection during a period of global disruption.
The most recent era of the project (2025-), produced in collaboration with TAIBU Community Health Centre. Featuring digital stories created by Black and racialized older adults in the eastern Greater Toronto Area.
